I know it’s a model that will soon be out of production and it’s unreliable (more than likely) but damn if I don’t love it anyway.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I didn’t realize how tough of a sell these were but there are several marked down super cheap online.

It’s got full manufacturer’s warranty, I’d say it’s an excellent deal

To date I still don’t understand why this isn’t sold in Canada, I see 3-series Tourings , Outbacks and Allroads all the time.

A dealer near me had two demo models marked down drastically when the auto show was in town. If my car had been payed off it would’ve been very tempting.

Considering that price includes a trade-in assistance, they should be able to do much better than that on a 2018. Should be more like 25%-30% off.
I bought my new 2018 GS a year ago for about 22% off. 6 months ago my coworker got a loaded 2018 TourX dealer demo with 5k miles that stickered for $41k for $26k.

Think I could get it for under $20k?

I hear you! I helped my parents buy an 18 TourX Essence for about $28k. This one seems to have an even better discount, although it is a lower trim level. I think these are great cars. Where else can you get an AWD Euro wagon built in Germany with a great warranty for this kind of money?
The car feels very solid. It is not really a sport wagon, but is also not slow or poor handling. I like the size and comfort. I am tempted to get one while I can, even though i don’t need another car right now!

Right now the offer from GM on 2019s is 16% off. A bout $4900 off of that car not including any dealer discounts . So from the get-go you can see they can do much better on a 2018. Start at $20k and see where you end up.

We rented one (Holden version, with the 2.0T) around Tasmania last week. It feels quite solid, the drivetrain including the 8-speed gearbox is excellent. The motor is very strong and smooth, making backroad overtakes really easy. These cars are really cheap down here too because of the general outcry of calling it a Commodore and the stigma that the Holden brand has down here now. I would go test-drive it first. The only really annoying things are the piano black plastics, and some cheap feeling steering scroll buttons that got quite annoying actually (every- time you push the source button, android auto audio disconnects and the only way to fix it is by re-plugging in your phone). I still wouldn’t buy one because it still feels a bit disconnected to the road, but a great daily driver for anyone with a long commute
